Install spotify using Snap


The second way is to use snap. follow the command below to install spotify using snap.

[root@siskom]# sudo snap install spotify
to verify the snap already installed is by:

[root@siskom]# sudo snap list spotify
Name     Version                  Rev  Tracking  Developer  Notes
spotify  1.0.77.338.g758ebd78-41  13   stable    spotify    -

Install spotify using Official Repository

The third way to install spotify on ubuntu is to use official repository, follow the following commands:

[root@siskom]# sudo apt-key adv --keyserver hkp://keyserver.ubuntu.com:80 --recv-keys 0DF731E45CE24F27EEEB1450EFDC8610341D9410
[root@siskom]# echo deb http://repository.spotify.com stable non-free | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/spotify.list
[root@siskom]# sudo apt-get update
[root@siskom]# sudo apt-get install spotify-client

follow the above steps 1 by one, it will take some time. after the installation process is complete to run spotify follow the following command:

[root@siskom]# spotify
